George has covered University of South Carolina football and basketball with Gamecock Central since 2024 and interns for The Citadel's athletic department. Rey Silva

My name is Reynaldo “Rey” Silva, and I am originally from Pharr, Texas. I have been involved in the sports scene in the Rio Grande Valley since 2003. I am currently working with UTRGV Athletics, working every home game for almost all sports, and I am also serving as the scoreboard operator for the Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League. In my spare time, I like to watch NASCAR, Indy Car racing, ESPN 30 for 30 documentaries, and spend time with
my family.

Jessica Levy 

Jessica, a University of Florida graduate, began her career in Gator Athletics as Assistant Social Media Manager for football and basketball. While she loved the SEC, she discovered her passion for FCS football, drawn to its “unlimited ceiling and untapped potential” on social media after managing Keiser University’s platforms on the football side. Now based in Florida, she runs all social media for FCS Nation, traveling nationwide to capture moments shared on Twitter and FCSNationRadio.com.

Tom Barton

Tom Barton has been in the sports media business since he was 19 years old. Tom has held nearly every job from television to radio, news writing to producing; he knows the business of sports in and out. Tom has worked for Fox Sports Radio, ESPN, ABC Radio and has had a nationally syndicated sports talk show. He owns Tom Barton Sports, in which he was highlighted in a recent book about Las Vegas sports betting as being one of the best and most honest in the industry, and is currently the Sport Director at the South Shore Press. You can also listen to him as the co-host of Heat Wave Sports, on Fox Sports Radio, Las Vegas, the longest running sports show in the city.  Tom attended Harvard University and lives on the east end of Long Island with his wife and three children.

Stone Labanowitz

The ultimate connoisseur of offense. Stone works for ESPN West Palm Beach covering all things South Florida. The former Quarterback of the Southern Illinois Salukis has a fiery passion for the FCS due to it's lack of coverage and how stockpiled the rosters are of NFL caliber players. Expect general coverage of the Subdivision.

Patriot League Insider

Joe Tutino

Joe Tutino is not afraid to say he bleeds royal purple. He’s also not afraid to say he was following the Patriot League long before it was cool. A native of Taunton, Massachusetts, Joe is a proud third-generation alumnus of the College of the Holy Cross, where he walked on the football team and served as a team manager all four years (including during the magical PL Championship run in 2009), graduating in 2012. Since then, he’s seen it all
in the world of politics, working on political campaigns from Massachusetts to Iowa to South Carolina, and working in state and federal government. He
currently lives in the Washington, D.C. area with his wife, who patiently puts up with him yelling at Patriot League refs on TV every fall.

MVFC CORRESPONDANT

Nathan Swaffar

Born and raised in northeast Kansas, Nathan has been a football nut from a young age. Although soccer was his sport of choice during his playing days, he's covered college football at the FBS and FCS levels for the past four years. A 2024 graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism at the University of Kansas, Nathan covered the rebirth of the KU football program under Lance Leipold. He worked for the University Daily Kansan as a correspondent and sports editor for two years and 247Sports for an additional two during his time at KU, covering the football and basketball teams primarily. 

 

Most recently, Nathan worked as a sports reporter with the Mitchell Republic in Mitchell, South Dakota. During his 11-month tenure, he covered the University of South Dakota football team extensively as the Coyotes claimed their first MVFC title and made their first FCS Playoff semifinal appearance.

My name is Melissa Dickson, I’m a recent graduate from the University of Montana with a major in journalism focused primarily on writing and reporting.

DJ Colter

​I grew up in MT dreaming to play for Cats or Griz and following the Big Sky since the 80’s.  I had many cousins/etc. play for both in state schools.  I played D-Tackle for the Griz from 95-99.  (Won title in 95 & lost title in 96.) My brother, Curt, played for Griz from 98-02 and was an All American & National Champion D-Tackle as well.   I coached and taught for years before getting into the insurance industry.   I now own and lead an: Insurance Agency, Real Estate rentals, and an Online store…while serving on many non-profit boards. I have lived in Fargo, ND for 20 years now with my business adventures…so know the Missouri Valley and Dakota 4 FCS programs really well too now.   I am married with 3 sports loving daughters and try to spend as much time as possible at our MN lake cabin!  I love talking college football and all the storylines that the game provides that give us joy.

Jeremy Jorgenson

I grew up on a ranch in Southcentral Montana and was a part of some great high school sports teams at Shepherd High School.  I have followed the Big Sky Conference and all of FCS football closely since the 1980's.   Following high school I played division 3 football in Minnesota and eventually got into sports broadcasting.   My broadcasting career took me many places back in Montana as well as Nebraska, Idaho and eventually landing in Fargo, ND.    I transitioned from broadcasting to athletic administration where I enjoyed a 13 year run as an assistant athletic director at NDSU where I managed the media rights and provided broadcasting duties.   Currently I reside in Fargo, ND with wife Steffanie and children Jay and Libby while operating the West Fargo Hockey Association as its Executive Director.

I’m Jacob Quinn, I’m a current student at The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga in Chattanooga, Tennessee, I started writing sports for our university new The UTC Echo last semester and have been loving it ever since, I’ve grown up in the Chattanooga area, other than FCS Football, I also love baseball and softball!

Tyler Cannon

Tyler brings a sharp football mind and a writer’s instinct to the UAC, where he also serves as our Ivy League Correspondent. A former defensive lineman at Webber International University, Tyler understands the game from the inside out. Its strategy, its culture, and the stories that often go untold. When he’s not breaking down matchups or spotlighting rising talent, Tyler travels with FCS Nation, where he also manages game-day security. His passion has always been FCS football, and he’s dedicated to giving the subdivision the attention and respect it deserves.
