The Great Danes went and visited the Hawkeyes for an FBS, FCS showdown. The Great Danes lost 34-7 but for a short time there in the second they did hold the lead. UAlbany struggled to move the ball as they only managed 134 passing yards and 43 rushing yards in the game. They now visit Delaware State and will look to get their offense rolling against the MEAC school.

From one FBS opponent to the next Bryant will look to pull off the upset this week as they could not in week one. The Bryant Bulldogs lost in week one 19-3 against New Mexico State and were able to hold their own defensively but with a lack of offense they could only do so much. As the Aggies were able to put up 10 of their 19 points in the fourth quarter. For the Bulldogs they had 187 passing yards, along with 68 rushing yards. Bryant will look to play spoiler in week number two against their FBS opponent from the Mid-American Conference.

The Campbell Camels started the season off with a 31-20 to conference opponent Rhode Island. The Camels did manage to have more rushing yards in the game with 120 to Rhode Island's 109. But Rhode Island torched them the air going for 275 yards while Campbell only had 148. Now they travel over to Greenville to take on the FBS East Carolina Pirates from The American Conference who are also looking for their first win of the season.

Elon comes off of a week one lost to the Duke Blue Devils by a score of 45-17. Now Elon gets to host Davidson who comes off a bad loss where they could not stop the run. For Elon this is where they can strike as they still managed to put up 163 rushing yards in the loss to Duke. Elon did struggle with the pass though as they managed only 112 yards with first time starting QB Landen Clark. Both teams will look for their first win in week number two, with Davidson representing the Pioneer League.

Hampton enters week two with an 0-1 record after falling to Jackson State 28-14. The Pirates got 376 total yards in the game with 201 coming from passing and the remaining 175 coming from the rushing. Quarterbacks Isaiah Freeman passed for 117 yards and had the most rushing yards for the team with 94 yards. His longest rush was 63 yards. Braden Davis managed to get reps in as well for the Pirates and he passed for 84 yards in the game going 11/12. Hampton will now host the Division II Elizabeth City State Vikings.

Monmouth was down 14-0 early in the game before their offense exploded for 42 from the second to fourth quarter, helping get them a 42-39 victory. Monmouth went with a strong ground game that had 191 yards on the ground. Their passing game was strong but had its weak moments. They managed to pass for 491 yards but also had four interceptions. Gavin Nelson, a wide receiver for Monmouth, managed to bring home the CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week. He brought in five receptions for 176 yards and three touchdowns. Now they head over to Fordham where they will look to keep the offense rolling but keep the ball safe in week two while they take on another Patriot League team.

Villanova is ready to kick off their season as they host Colgate who comes into the season 0-1. Colgate lost to Villanova Conference opponent Monmouth so if Villanova wants to keep pace with them they will need to come away with a victory in this one. They will need to be careful while passing the ball as Colgate managed to get 4 interceptions last week but did give up 491 yards. Villanova will prepare for game one of their season against Colgate from the Patriot League.

New Hampshire brought home a 27-10 victory over N.C. Central in their first week. Their defense held N.C Central to 275 total yards with an average of 4.4 yards per play. New Hampshire managed 304 total yards with 186 passing and 120 passing. Now they will look for win number two while they take on Holy Cross from the Patriot League

Maine and William & Mary both come into this conference game with a 0-1 record. Maine looked to play upset in week one against Liberty but the Flames pulled away late to win 28-7. William & Mary lost 23-21 to Furman in a game where they held the Paladins without a touchdown in the second half. Big first conference game for these two teams as one will be 0-2 with a conference loss at the end of it.

Rhode Island takes a short trip over to Stony Brook, N.Y. to take on the Seawolves. The Seawolves lost 42-0 when they took on FBS opponent San Diego State. Stony Brook only managed 46 passing yards with 49 rushing yards in their first game. They look to bounce back in week two. Rhode Island got a conference victory when they took on Campbell and won 31-20. Rhode Island had 275 passing yards with a complimentary 109 rushing yards. Now they look to get another conference win here early in the season.

Towson got a week one victory against the MEAC when they won 27-7 over Norfolk State. In that game they passed for 187 yards with three passing touchdowns, and 136 rushing yards. Caden Williams brought home the CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week, by going 2-2 on field goal attempts and 3-3 on extra points. Now they prepare for their second MEAC game as they take on Morgan State in Baltimore Maryland.

North Carolina A&T has a tough match-up in week number two as they head to Orlando Florida to take on the 1-0 Knights. For North Carolina A&T they lost last week 24-21 to Tennessee State with the game tying field goal blocked as time expired. The Aggies had 210 passing yards and Amonte Jones brought in four receptions for 91 yards and one touchdown. They also rushed for 133 yards as well. The star of the show though for the Aggies was Joshua Iseah Jr. a linebacker that brought home the CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week. Isaiah had a team high 10 tackles, and 3 tackles for loss and an interception. Now the defense needs to prepare as they take on FBS opponent UCF from the Big 12.
