University of Albany Great Danes Athletics

UAlbany took another loss making this their seventh loss in row. The Great Danes now sit at 1-10 on the year and are still searching for their first conference win. Their most recent game was one where they tried to keep up offensively but just couldn’t do it as the Towson Tigers took them down 36-19. In this game the Great Danes put up 249 yards with 161 passing yards and 88 rushing yards. This was a game in which the Great Danes managed to take the ball away two times by recovering fumbles but then gave the ball away three times themselves. They threw two interceptions in the game as well as losing a fumble. Now the Great Danes will face the Monmouth Hawks who have their eyes set on trying to tie for the conference title. UAlbany will try and get their first conference win when they take on the Hawks at 12:00 p.m. ET, with the game taking place in West Long Branch N.J. To watch this one tune in on FLOF to see what comes from this one.

Monmouth Hawks Athletics
Monmouth Hawks Athletics

Monmouth gets a huge win as they keep themselves alive in the chase for the CAA title. Their win was over North Carolina A&T as they thumped them 63-19. It was a game in which the offense could do no wrong as they never turned the ball over while putting up an astonishing 696 yards in the game. The passing game was the star of the show as they threw for 428 yards and earned their freshman quarterback Frankie Weaver the CAA Football Offensive Player of the Week. Weaver in this game went 19-28 and accounted for all 428 of the passing yards, and recorded a school-record tying six touchdowns. His passing total in the game was the 10th-most in FCS this season and the 6 TD’s are tied for the 2nd-most. He completed five throws of 26 or more yards, including TD strikes of 62, 53 and 71 yards, as the Hawks posted the most points and yards (696) in the CAA this season. All of this glam for the passing game is not to discredit the run game which had 268 yards as they more than earned their keep in this one. For the Hawks this was a game in which they had 21 points in each of the first three quarters, and while they didn’t score in the fourth they didn’t need to as they were up so big already. Now the Hawks prepare for their final regular season matchup when they host the UAlbany Great Danes. This is a game the Hawks have to win if they want any shot at sharing the conference title with Rhode Island. To see what the Hawks do watch them at 12:00 p.m. ET on FLOF.

Bryant Bulldogs Athletics
Bryant Bulldogs Athletics

Bryant took another loss on the year as New Hampshire handed them a 42-14 loss. The Bulldogs in this loss struggled to make stops defensively as they gave up 467 yards, and also struggled with penalties as they committed 10-101 yards. Combine those two struggles with an offense that could only put up 14 points on 234 yards and you get a tough loss. For the Bulldogs this was a game where they passed for 136 yards and ran for 98 yards as they were so close to the century mark in the run game. Both teams did throw an interception in this one giving a neutral result in the turnover battle. Now the Bulldogs will try to end the year with a high note when they take on the Stony Brook Seawolves. The 3-9 Bulldogs will play Stony Brook at 12:00 p.m. ET, in Stony Brook N.Y. with the game available to watch on FLOF streaming.

Stony Brook Seawolves Athletics
Stony Brook Seawolves Athletics

Stony Brook suffered a devastating loss as they were taken down in overtime 30-27 by the Villanova Wildcats. In a game that was back and forth with both teams holding the lead at times it was one that you didn’t want to miss. For the Seawolves in this game they put up 354 yards of total offense as they passed for 278 yards while running for 76 yards. This was a game in which only one turnover occurred and it happened from a lost turnover by the Seawolves. That fumble happened at a crucial time as it came in the fourth quarter with Stony Brook up 21-17 at the time. The lost fumble then resulted in a touchdown for their opposition making it so the Seawolves then had to play for a tie instead of widening their lead in the game. For Stony Brook the loss puts them back under .500 as they are 5-6 on the year. They will now look for a win in their final game of the year when they take on the Bryant Bulldogs at home in a game that starts at 12:00 p.m. ET. To watch this one check it out on the FLOF streaming service.

Hampton Pirates Athletics
Hampton Pirates Athletics

Hampton took their fifth loss in a row as the William & Mary Tribe took it to them by taking them down 55-14. It was a game where the Pirates had no answer for what to do against the Tribe as the Pirates got an interception on William & Mary’s first drive but then gave up eight straight drives that resulted in points for the Tribe. By the time they got another defensive stop it was already 55-14 with the game in the fourth quarter. From there the game would have a few more drives with the Pirates not able to score anymore before the game came to an end. Hampton ended the game with 253 yards. The passing game and run game were similar in numbers as they passed for 115 yards, while running for 138 yards in the game. While it is good to have a balanced offense it was not enough to help them get the win. Hampton will now enter their final game of the season looking for their first conference win as they take on the Rhode Island Rams who sit on top of the conference. Hampton will also be looking to improve upon their 2-9 record when this game starts at 1:00 p.m. ET with it taking place in Kingston, R.I. To view this matchup you must tune in on the FLOF streaming service.

Rhode Island Rams Athletics
Rhode Island Rams Athletics

Rhode Island put an end to the red hot Maine Black Bears as they ended their six game win streak by taking them down quite easily by a score of 45-13. This was a game with lots of eyes watching as Rhode Island was able to secure at least part of the title crown with the win as they sit at an impressive 9-2 and 7-0 on the year, everyone else saw the Black Bears season all but come to an end. This was a game the Rams dominated from the start as they jumped out to an early 14-0 lead, thanks in part to a missed field goal and turnover on downs by Maine. Rhode Island would keep up the pace though as they put up 14 more points in the second while only giving up one touchdown making it 28-7 at the half. Rhode Island wouldn’t stop their though as they continued to shut down the Black Bear’s offense while also putting up more and more points, leading to the eventual 45-13 final. In this game the offense and defense had things really working as the offense put up 497 total yards, from 233 passing yards, and 264 rushing yards. On the other side of the ball they held Maine to 323 total yards, but more importantly made them go 3-13 on third down and 1-4 on fourth down. While they never got a turnover in the game they still did more than enough to help the team get a win with the way the offense was rolling. Now they look to finish the job in their final week and lock up first place all to themselves when they take on Hampton. This is a big trap game for the Rams as they face a struggling Pirates team that has nothing to lose which can make for a dangerous outcome. As long as the Rams get off to a strong start, they should be fine. To see how they do you will need to tune into the game at 1:00 p.m. ET, on FLOF.

Campbell Camels Athletics
Campbell Camels Athletics

Campbell takes another tough loss as Elon comes back to tie and win the game in the fourth quarter giving us a final score of 31-24. The loss now has the Camels at 2-9 on the year. For Campbell this game saw the offense do some good things as they put up 377 yards of total offense on the day. Lots of those yards were from the pass as they had 275 passing yards, and 102 rushing yards. In this game the Camels also turned the ball over twice, one of each as they lost a fumble and threw an interception in this one. While their defense couldn’t take the ball away once making those costly turnovers hurt even more. Campbell will try and keep the ball safe this week when they go on the road to Towson, Maryland to take on the Tigers. This is a game with them just looking to end the season right. This game will start at 1:00 p.m. ET, and can be watched on FLOF.

Towson Tigers Athletics
Towson Tigers Athletics

Towson picked up another win on the year as they took down UAlbany 36-19. This win makes the Tigers now 5-6 on the year and gives them a chance to avoid a losing record if they can win their final game of the year. For the Tigers this game was one where they put up 339 yards as they passed for 196, and rushed for 143 yards. It was a game where the turnover bug got them twice as they lost two fumbles, yet their defense managed to take the ball away three times giving them a win in the turnover battle as well. The Tigers in this game led every major stat category as they had more passing, and rushing yards in the game, as well as better yards per pass and run, with few penalties and few turnovers. All of these things helped give them a win they much deserved. Now they prepare to take on Campbell on home in Towson, MD with the game starting at 1:00 p.m. ET and viewable on FLOF.

Villanova Wildcats Athletics
Villanova Wildcats Athletics

Villanova came away with a fantastic win as they took down Stony Brook 30-27 in overtime. This game was back and forth as both teams put up a flurry of points in the second half specifically in the fourth quarter with there being four lead changes in the second half. In this game Villanova’s offense put up good yards as they had 440 of them with all of them being needed. In the game they passed for 280 yards, while rushing for 160 yards.  A key point in this game was the defense which forced a turnover in the fourth quarter which helped shift the momentum in their favor helping get the game into overtime. Another major point on the defense aside from the turnover was linebacker Shane Hartell who earned the CAA Football Defensive Player of the Week. Hartell earned this award by recording a team-high 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack. This was also the 10th time in his career in which he produced double-digit tackles. Hartzell leads VU with 65 tackles and 12.0 TFL’s on the season. Him and the rest of the Wildcats will now play at home in a non-conference game to end the season when they take on Sacred Heart. This matchup is one to keep an eye on as the  8-2 Wildcats need a win to help them make a push for the playoffs as they are not guaranteed a tie atop the conference. Watch this one on FLOF with the game kicking off at 1:00 p.m. ET.

William & Mary Tribe Athletics
William & Mary Tribe Athletics

William & Mary got their third win in a row as they took down Hampton 55-14. This win has them sitting at now 7-4 on the season and fourth overall in the conference. For the Tribe this game saw them put up lots of points and lots of yards, as they had 432 yards in total. Both the passing and rushing game contributed to the win as they passed for 209 yards, and rushed for 223 yards. This was a game where they turned the ball over once from a thrown interception on their first possession already down seven, but they didn’t hang their heads from it. Instead they rattled off eight straight drives which resulted in them scoring. At the same time their defense figured things out by not allowing the Pirates to score for the remainder of the game. A very good day on the field for the Tribe as they now prepare for the final regular season game of the year at home in Williamsburg, VA where they will take on non-conference opponent Richmond. To see if the Tribe can down their old conference foe tune in at 1:00 p.m ET on FLOF.

Maine Black Bears Athletics
Maine Black Bears Athletics

Maine finally met their match as their six game win streak came to an end at the hands of the Rhode Island Rams. The Rams took them down 45-13, by quite literally running all over them as the Black Bears gave up 264 rushing yards and multiple rushing touchdowns. On the other side of the ball the Black Bears couldn’t run for a whole lot as they only got 45 rushing yards. They did have more success in the passing game though as they threw for 278 yards. Giving them a total of 323 yards in the game. While the Black Bears were able to put up some yardage they struggled to complete their drives in scores as they struggled mightily on third down going 3-13. The struggles on third down in a tough conference game forced Maine to go for it on fourth down multiple times with them going 1-4 in the game. These struggles are what led to the easy victory for the Rams. Now the Black Bears go on the road for the final time as they go to Durham, N.H. to take on the Wildcats in a game that has pride on the line with both teams looking to finish strong. Find out if the Black Bear is better than a Wildcat when this game goes down at 1:00 p.m. ET. To see this one you will need to stream the game through FloCollege.

New Hampshire Wildcats Athletics
New Hampshire Wildcats Athletics

New Hampshire might not have had the best season by any metric but this season has shaped up to be a lot of fun as the Wildcats just rolled off their fourth win in a row which saw them take down the Bryant Bulldogs 42-14. The win has them now ranked fifth in the conference with an overall of 7-4. When looking at this game we see how good they were as they dominated on offense and defense. The offense was able to rattle off 467 yards, with the pass working beautifully for 328 yards. The run game did its job by getting 139 yards, which isn’t a number to just scoff at as it helped them control this game from the start. To go along with the strong offensive production was a defense that only gave up two touchdowns and a grand total of 234 yards. A very nice day on the field for the Wildcats as they now prepare for their final regular season game of the year when they take on the Maine Black Bears at home in Durham, N.H. Watch them at 1:00 p.m. ET, on FLOF to see if they can end the year with a hot streak.

North Carolina A&T Aggies Athletics
North Carolina A&T Aggies Athletics

North Carolina A&T had another rough loss as this time they lost 63-19 against Monmouth. This loss puts the Aggies at an overall of 2-9. In the loss the Aggies offense struggled to complete drives as they kicked four field goals in the game. This special teams performance got Andrew Brown the kicker the CAA Football Special Teams Player of the Week. He got the award by not only going 4-4 on his field goal attempts, but by having three of those field goals be done at 50+ in yardage, as he made a 55, 53, and another 53 yard field goal His other field goal was from 31 yards out. On the season Brown is now 14-17, and 5-5 on kicks from 50+ yards out. Making him a bright star on this struggling team. Aside from Brown’s kicking performance there wasn’t a whole lot more to look forward to. As the team put up 323 yards by having the passing game get 178 yards, while they ran for 145 yards. While the team never turned the ball over they did struggle on third downs as they went 4-14 leading to their low score. Throw on top of that a defense that is taking on an offensive juggernaut and you get a game that was all but over, come halftime. Now the Aggies will try and prevent this same outcome from occurring when they travel over to Elon, N.C. to take on the Phoenix. This is a game with lots of pride on the line. To see who comes out on top watch this one at 2:00 p.m. ET, with the game available on FLOF.

Elon Phoenix Athletics
Elon Phoenix Athletics

Elon put an end to their four game skid as they took down the Campbell Camels with a fourth quarter comeback. This comeback was one that saw Elon put up their final two touchdowns in the last six minutes of the game as they came away with a 31-24 victory. The win set them up to go neutral in the win-loss column, as well this season as they are now 5-6 on the year. Elon in this game managed to produce 385 yards, with the passing game having 228 of those yards and the run game having the other 157. It was also a game where they never turned the ball over, while taking it away twice helping them get the win. Now the Phoenix get to play their final game at home this year as they look to go out with a bang when they take on N.C. A&T Aggies. This game won't be deciding anything to deal with winning the conference or even give these teams a chance at making the playoffs but it will still be a fun game that can be seen at 2:00 p.m. ET on FLOF.
