NDSU tabbed as champion in MVFC predicted order of finish

Defending National Champion North Dakota State found itself atop the Missouri Valley Football Conference predicted order of finish that was released at Monday’s media day. 


The Bison picked up 39 of the 42 first-place votes and led the pack with 417 points. Right behind were both South Dakota programs, with the Jackrabbits coming in second with 355 points. In third, USD had 349 points, and was the only other team to garner any first-place votes with three.

Coming off a playoff appearance, Illinois State (292) came in fourth with Youngstown State (211) rounding out the top five. Southern Illinois (208) was sixth, North Dakota (196) was seventh, Northern Iowa (130) was eighth, Indiana State was ninth (105) and Murray State (47) was picked last.
