OVC-Big South Releases Predicted Order of Finish

This week is the OVC-Big South Association media day, and with that comes the

preseason poll for each team’s predicted order of finish, voted on by the league’s head

coaches.

Leading the pack is Tennessee Tech with 57 points, including five first-place votes. The

Golden Eagles were one of the four teams to share the championship title last season.

In second is UT Martin with 56 points, including two first-place votes. The Skyhawks

have shared the championship title for the last four seasons.

Southeast Missouri comes in third, with 53 points and two first-place votes. The

Redhawks also shared the title with UT Martin and Tennessee Tech last season.

Lindenwood lands in fourth place with 39 points. The Lions are eligible for the FCS

playoffs for the first time this season

In fifth place is Western Illinois with 30 points, followed by Eastern Illinois and Gardner-

Webb with 24 points each.

Tennessee State takes eighth place with 23 points. The Tigers also shared last season’s

championship.

Charleston Southern falls to ninth with 18 points.

OVC-Big South Association football kicks off on August 28 when Eastern Illinois,

Lindenwood, and UT Martin open the season. 🚨
